Rwandan musician Clarisse Karasira is celebrating a double milestone, five years of marriage and her husband’s birthday, marking a moment of reflection and gratitude for the couple’s journey together.

Taking to Instagram on May 1, 2026, Clarisse expressed appreciation for what she described as God’s continued blessings in their marriage, while also paying tribute to her husband, Ifashabayo Sylvain Dejoie, for his support and companionship.

“Today we celebrate two special milestones: five years of our marriage and my husband’s birthday. We sincerely thank God for His blessings throughout this journey,” she wrote.

She described her husband as a devoted partner and father, adding: “Sylvain Dejoie, thank you for being an extraordinary husband, an exceptional father to our children, and my best friend in every season of life. Forward always.”

Dejoie responded warmly on social media, expressing appreciation for his wife and reaffirming his love, noting the joy of building a family together and acknowledging the support of their parents in their journey.

The celebration comes shortly after another family milestone, as Dejoie recently graduated with a second master’s degree in Business Administration from Western Governors University in the United States.

The couple’s story dates back to 2017, when they met during a memorial concert for late Rwandan singer Mutamuliza Annonciata, popularly known as Kamaliza, where Dejoie was among the organizers.

They legally formalized their union in February 2021 in Kigali, followed by a church wedding in May 2021 at Christian Life Assembly in Nyarutarama.

The couple, who share two sons, Kwanda and Kweme, continue to be regarded as one of the well-known public couples in Rwanda’s entertainment and creative industry circles.
