First Lady Mrs. Jeannette Kagame welcomed Her Majesty Queen ’Masenate Mohato Seeiso of the Kingdom of Lesotho at the Imbuto Foundation on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
The visit, which began on December 3, focuses on meaningful exchanges on mutual priorities in health, education, and youth empowerment.
Queen Masenate praised Rwanda’s vaccination system for its accessibility, while Lesotho’s Minister of Health, Elibe Mochoboroane, highlighted opportunities for his officials to learn from Rwanda’s health sector progress.
Rwanda and Lesotho’s bilateral relations date back to 1983 and are anchored in mutual respect and cooperation.
Last October, the two countries signed a General Cooperation Agreement to expand collaborative initiatives for mutual benefit.
