Prime Minister Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva has called on Rwandans living in Gabon to play a more active role in advancing Rwanda’s development while strengthening their contribution to their host country.
Nsengiyumva made the remarks on Sunday, May 3, 2026, during a meeting with members of the Rwandan community in Libreville, as part of his official visit to Gabon.
He commended the diaspora for upholding unity and positively representing Rwanda abroad, urging them to sustain their commitment and leverage available opportunities to contribute to national progress.
“The role of the diaspora remains vital in Rwanda’s development journey. Your unity and dedication continue to reflect positively on the country,” he told the gathering.
The Prime Minister is in Gabon representing President Paul Kagame at the inauguration of the Libreville Conference Centre, a major infrastructure project expected to boost the country’s profile in hosting international events.
The inauguration ceremony, held the same day, was presided over by Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
The newly unveiled facility is set to host regional and global conferences, positioning Gabon as an emerging destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism, and strengthening its footprint in the international events industry.
