Rwanda’s Chief of Defence Staff, Mubarakh Muganga, on Thursday led the graduation ceremony of 74 senior officers from the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), Rwanda National Police (RNP), and the Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS), who completed an intensive 22-week advanced leadership programme.
The ceremony marked the 26th intake of the Senior Command and Staff Course, held at the Military Academy in Nyakinama Military Academy, Musanze District.
Among the graduates were five female officers, reflecting ongoing efforts to strengthen gender inclusion in senior command and leadership training across Rwanda’s security institutions.
The programme equipped participants with advanced competencies in military leadership, operational planning, and command responsibilities at brigade level, alongside strategic management and decision-making skills essential for complex security operations.
During the ceremony, Gen. Muganga commended the graduates for their commitment and discipline, and awarded the best-performing officer. He urged them to apply the acquired knowledge in strengthening professionalism, operational efficiency, and leadership within their respective institutions.
