Rwanda earns over Rwf11.4 billion from agricultural exports in five days

The National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) has reported that Rwanda earned more than Rwf11.4 billion from agricultural and livestock exports between February 23 and 27, 2026.

According to NAEB’s weekly report, Rwanda exported 8,800 tonnes of agricultural and livestock products during this period, including tea, vegetables, fruits, flowers, livestock, and their by-products.

Coffee exports alone accounted for 334 tonnes, generating Rwf1.5 billion, while 661 tonnes of tea brought in Rwf2.7 billion.

Vegetables exported over the five days totaled 417 tonnes, earning Rwf665 million, with major markets including the United Kingdom, Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, and several African countries.

Fruit exports reached 511 tonnes, earning Rwf593 million, with top buyers from the United Kingdom, UAE, and various African nations.

Livestock and livestock products exported to African markets contributed Rwf540 million during the same five-day period.

Other export crops totaling 6.66 tonnes earned Rwf5.1 billion, with key markets including Oman and several African countries.

The figures reflect Rwanda’s growing performance in high-value agricultural exports and its expanding presence in international markets.
